So, the other day i was watching youtube and i came across this video by mcbirken called “how to join dream's smp in 1 minute. ” it was a pretty funny meme, but it had me thinking: how could someone actually join the dream smp, the number 1 smp in the world with only 31 members. Is it possible for someone, anyone, maybe even one of you watching this video to become a part of one of the most entertaining communities in minecraft. well, as it turns out, yes. Someone’s already done it. How? We’re about to find out. Also, thank you all for a thousand subscribers, this growth is honestly amazing and you guys have been killing it lately.

September 11, 2020. This day would mark the start of the insane growth of a dream team fan who would one day join the dream smp: ranboo. This tiktok following would remain very important to ranboo’s success and would also branch out to his other platforms like twitch and twitter. One day just two weeks into his time streaming on twitch, his fans noticed that punz, a popular streamer and member of the dream smp, was ending his twitch stream and they managed to get punz to raid ranboo, making ranboo the #1 minecraft streamer on twitch for a while even though he just started streaming 2 weeks ago. After that, he only grew faster and eventually ranboo hit 100,000 subscribers on youtube and 100,000 followers on twitch, in 2 months. at this point, you’re probably thinking “wow, it’s great that this man’s gets subscribers faster than the coronavirus spreads and all but there are youtubers with millions of subscribers that don’t get in to the dream smp these days, so how did he? Well on november 27, ranboo was streaming hypixel when he decided to come up with a plan to become president of l’manberg without actually joining the dream smp server.
halfway through the stream, he was raided by fundy and philza, both members of the dream smp, and apparently dream was watching one of their streams because he subscribed to ranboo on twitch, which if you didn’t know isn’t actually free. A few moments later, ranboo got an invite to the dream smp and his chat went crazy! He went on to meet other smp members and play on the server for the rest of the stream, becoming an official member himself, which came as a complete shock to ranboo, who was “freaking out on the inside. ” this invite actually shows a pretty noticeable change in dream’s attitudes towards inviting other people to the server. In the early days of the smp, he only invited people he personally knew or watched, which is one of the main reasons he banned jschlatt for a while — he didn’t know him. As for the other reason, i’ll let dream explain it himself. How To Get Linux App Store On Chromebook
Hey, welcome back to the channel. So i've already shown you how toinstall many linux applications on your chromebook. Using thenative linux support. The thing is almost every time thatinvolves like downloading stuff from a website and then going into the terminaland typing a bunch of commands to get it to install today, i'm going toshow you a way to make that much, much easier. And we're going to install a linux appstore on your chromebook in the native linux support. You're not going to have togo into developer mode oranything shady like that.
this is going to allow you to installa large selection of applications in a graphical store, just likeon like macos or windows. You can search for your applications,browse through categories, and one click install toinstall these applications. I'm going to show you how toinstall two different ones, show you what they look like and how theywork and let you make the decision on which one you want to use. Theonly other thing is i want to say, just because these app storesare running on your chromebook, it doesn't necessarily mean that everysingle application in that app store is going to work in the native linux supporton chromeos i'm going to show you how to get the store on there. And honestly, the vast majority ofapplications will work just fine, but that linux support inchromeos is still beta.
so there's some applications that willnot work with that out of the way. Let's jump right onto thechromebook. All right. So here we are on the chromebook desktop. And the first thing i'm going todo is turn on linux beta support.
so if you already have linuxset up on your chromebook, you can skip this section. So we're just going to go into oursettings and then look for linux beta down here. If you don't see that, trydoing an update on your chromebook, but there's a possibility thatyour chromebook may not support it, or it may be turned off if you're usingsomething like a school chromebook or something like that. Butif you have lennox, beta, we're just going to clickturn on and hit next, and then you can selectyour, your username in here. So i'm just gonna select a youtubeand we're gonna set a custom size.
you can do whatever you want on here, depending on how big the storageis on your chromebook. By default, it's five gigabytes. I'm going to do 20 gigabytes cause i wantto in store install more applications. So i'm just going to hit install. And then this is going to take a fewminutes to download all the components and needs and set it up. And then when it's done, it'll open a command prompt and wecan do the rest of this tutorial.
so i'm going to stop this right nowand then come back when this is all complete. All right. So linux native support is all set up onour chromebook and it brought us to the command prompt. This is using thelinux terminal automatically opened up. I just zoomed in a little bit.
the first thing we want to do is do apseudo apt update is going to go and look for any updates for our system. And then we want to do asudo apt dist dash upgrade. That's going to upgrade thedistribution, the core components for us, if there's any that need it. And we want to make sure to do thatso that we can get all the latest and greatest components for our install. Again, i'm just going to let this run. This takes a few minutes and then i'llcome back when it's all complete.
okay? So that update is all done. Nowwe're ready to install. Now, there are two different software centersor app stores or whatever you want to call it. Then i'm going to showyou today. One is the kde discover, and one is the janome software center.
they both let you installapplications with a visual interface, but they handle it alittle bit differently. They're both slightly different looking. And it's really just a matter ofpreference, which one you want to use. I'm going to show you howto install both of them, because it's really easyto install either one. Let's start with the gunner homesoftware center.
and just as a side note, this is spelled gnome, buttypically in the linux world, it's a pronounced good gnome. So just go with it. Um, so we're going to do asudo apt install, um, ghanim dash software and gethome dash package kit it enter. It's going to go and look forall the components for that. We're going to hit yes. To install that stuff. That's going to take a littlebit to install.
and again, i will just skip to the end whenthis is all complete. All right? So that installation is all complete. And if we go into our menuhere and go to our linux apps, we can see that software is in here. Nowwhat, the first time we launched this, this is probably going to be blank. It's probably not going to show anysoftware in here and it doesn't, don't be alarmed about thisfor some reason.
uh, itdownloaded all the software, but it didn't apply. And you actually have to restart yourchromebook before the applications show up in here. So i'm going to go aheadand do that right now and come back. All right. So here we areback on the linux desktop, and i'm going to go into my menu hereand go down to software launch that.
and i'm actually kind ofglad this happened becausesometimes it happens where even after the restart, there's noapplications that show up in here. So what we're going to do is just go into the linux apps again, we're going to launch terminal andwe're going to do a sudo apt update, and then we're going to restartour chromebook again. All right. So here we are back on the desktop. Now, if we go into our linux appsfolder and launch software, give it a second to start up here.
the now we can see that it'spopulated with our applications. Now, sometimes it works with just a restart. Sometimes you have to do the pseudoapp update and then restart. So, um, you know, your mileage may vary. So i'm kind of glad that it didn'twork the first time in this video, so i could show you how to fix it. But anyway, now that we're in here, you can go to these different categoriesand you can browse for your application and then install it.
youcan search for stuff. So say we wanted to install the, a dmp image, editingsoftware. We can type in gimp. Uh, we get the new imagemanipulation program, and then we can just click install righthere and it's going to install it for us. It takes a little while.
so i'mprobably gonna speed up through this. And, uh, and then, uh, launch it real quickand show you how to install the, uh, kte discover application storewhile this is installing. I wanted to point out onething. So in this application, it says it's installing it's at 93%, but it doesn't really give you a goodprogress bar when we do discover that's one thing you're going to see is thatit gives you much better feedback when you're installing applications. So that's actually one thingthat i like better about, uh, discover than i like aboutthe, you know, software center.
all right. So that is allinstalled. And as you can see, we can click launch rightfrom the application here. Or if we go into our menuagain and go to the linux apps, we can see that it's right here. We can launch it from there. And it launches just fine. Now, like i said before, at the beginning of the video, justbecause an application is in this store, doesn't mean it's going to installwell in linux, on your chromebook.
not every application works because thatlinux support is still kind of in beta and not every application is supported. So now let's go and installthe kde plasma discover. Now the way we're going to install thediscover application is very similar to how we installed thegenome software center. We're going to go into our terminal and we are going to do a sudo apt install, plasma dash, discover again, it's going to go out and findall the components that we need. And then we can hit yes to install.
now, you don't have to install both of these. I'm only installing both of them toshow you how it works and you know, to kind of help you make a decisionon which one you want to use. It doesn't hurt to have both installed, but you don't need toinstall both of them. The thing is with plasma,when you first launch it, you may have the same issue that wehad with the genome software center, where the applicationsmay not show in there. But if you do a pseudo appupdate and a one or two restarts, then the application will be populatedwith the apps that are available to install just like with thesoftware center.
all right. So discover is all installed. And just like we did withthe genome software center, we can go into our linux folderand we have discover right there. We can launch it. And here we go, this is what discovery looks like.
it functions similarly to how thejanome software works, but, uh, just looks very different. This issome, you know, featured applications. And then you can go intothe different categories. Now it has much more granularcategories and quantum software did, uh, which i kind of liked that aswell. And you can also do a search.
so say we wanted to installsomething like libra office. It searched for libra, andwe see all the different, um, applications that have to have librain the name or in the description. Uh, so say we want to installlibra office writer. We can just click install on that. And we can see down in the tasks, it shows the status. Now this iswhat i was talking about earlier.
this shows you a much more usefulstatus than the genome software did this actually as a ticking taskbar and shows you how, uh, the installation is progressing versusjust kind of a task bar that jumps to different segments. You know, it might go from 0% to 40% in your ownsoftware where this is kind of a real time ticker. So again, i'lllet this run and then, uh, just show you what thatlooks like as well. Again, this is just going to put itinto our linux apps folder. So now that is all installed.
but one thing i forgot to show you isif you want more details on any of these things, you can click into them andget the information and you know, all the details of the package justas you could in, you know, software. I just forgot to show you that before. And if you go into the installed area, it'll show you all the applicationsthat have been installed, and even the ones that youinstalled with quantum software. So we can see that we have gimp inhere that we installed with that other application. So we can go into hereand we can launch it right from here, or, you know, even easier. Again, it puts it into the linux apps folder, and we can just launch, we wereoffice writer directly from that icon.
and now we get into ourword processor and it works. That's fine. Um, once theseapplications are installed, it doesn't care how theywere installed. So, you know, even though we installed these with twodifferent, um, package managers, the, the core install is exactly the same. So there's no problem with launchingthese applications together.
so you can move these andtreat them just like windows. You can do split screen because it'susing that native linux support now, which you use is totally up to you. Theyboth function kind of the same. I mean, on the backend, they functionexactly the same. It's the front end.
that's a little bit different. My personal preference is discoveredjust because it gives you a little bit better feel back on what's beinginstalled, but they both worked just fine. And again, i want to stress thatjust because an application yeah. Is in here does notmean it's going to work. I need to stress that because ialways get a confusion with that.
with when people watch my videos, they assume that when i show them howto install steam or something like that, all the steam games are gonnarun. That's not the case. This is a portal to these applications, but it's still going to on thesupport of your chromebook. If you don't see that, trydoing an update on your chromebook, but there's a possibility thatyour chromebook may not support it, or it may be turned off if you're usingsomething like a school chromebook or something like that. Butif you have lennox, beta, we're just going to clickturn on and hit next, and then you can selectyour, your username in here. So i'm just gonna select a youtubeand we're gonna set a custom size.
you can do whatever you want on here, depending on how big the storageis on your chromebook. By default, it's five gigabytes. I'm going to do 20 gigabytes cause i wantto in store install more applications. So i'm just going to hit install. And then this is going to take a fewminutes to download all the components and needs and set it up. And then when it's done, it'll open a command prompt and wecan do the rest of this tutorial.
so i'm going to stop this right nowand then come back when this is all complete. All right. So linux native support is all set up onour chromebook and it brought us to the command prompt. This is using thelinux terminal automatically opened up. I just zoomed in a little bit.
the first thing we want to do is do apseudo apt update is going to go and look for any updates for our system. And then we want to do asudo apt dist dash upgrade. That's going to upgrade thedistribution, the core components for us, if there's any that need it. And we want to make sure to do thatso that we can get all the latest and greatest components for our install. Again, i'm just going to let this run. This takes a few minutes and then i'llcome back when it's all complete.
okay? So that update is all done. Nowwe're ready to install. Now, there are two different software centersor app stores or whatever you want to call it. Then i'm going to showyou today. One is the kde discover, and one is the janome software center.
they both let you installapplications with a visual interface, but they handle it alittle bit differently. They're both slightly different looking. And it's really just a matter ofpreference, which one you want to use. I'm going to show you howto install both of them, because it's really easyto install either one. Let's start with the gunner homesoftware center.
and just as a side note, this is spelled gnome, buttypically in the linux world, it's a pronounced good gnome. So just go with it. Um, so we're going to do asudo apt install, um, ghanim dash software and gethome dash package kit it enter. It's going to go and look forall the components for that. We're going to hit yes. To install that stuff. That's going to take a littlebit to install.
and again, i will just skip to the end whenthis is all complete. All right? So that installation is all complete. And if we go into our menuhere and go to our linux apps, we can see that software is in here. Nowwhat, the first time we launched this, this is probably going to be blank. It's probably not going to show anysoftware in here and it doesn't, don't be alarmed about thisfor some reason.
uh, itdownloaded all the software, but it didn't apply. And you actually have to restart yourchromebook before the applications show up in here. So i'm going to go aheadand do that right now and come back. All right. So here we areback on the linux desktop, and i'm going to go into my menu hereand go down to software launch that.
and i'm actually kind ofglad this happened becausesometimes it happens where even after the restart, there's noapplications that show up in here. So what we're going to do is just go into the linux apps again, we're going to launch terminal andwe're going to do a sudo apt update, and then we're going to restartour chromebook again. All right. So here we are back on the desktop. Now, if we go into our linux appsfolder and launch software, give it a second to start up here.
the now we can see that it'spopulated with our applications. Now, sometimes it works with just a restart. Sometimes you have to do the pseudoapp update and then restart. So, um, you know, your mileage may vary. So i'm kind of glad that it didn'twork the first time in this video, so i could show you how to fix it. But anyway, now that we're in here, you can go to these different categoriesand you can browse for your application and then install it.
youcan search for stuff. So say we wanted to install the, a dmp image, editingsoftware. We can type in gimp. Uh, we get the new imagemanipulation program, and then we can just click install righthere and it's going to install it for us. It takes a little while.
so i'mprobably gonna speed up through this. And, uh, and then, uh, launch it real quickand show you how to install the, uh, kte discover application storewhile this is installing. I wanted to point out onething. So in this application, it says it's installing it's at 93%, but it doesn't really give you a goodprogress bar when we do discover that's one thing you're going to see is thatit gives you much better feedback when you're installing applications. So that's actually one thingthat i like better about, uh, discover than i like aboutthe, you know, software center.
all right. So that is allinstalled. And as you can see, we can click launch rightfrom the application here. Or if we go into our menuagain and go to the linux apps, we can see that it's right here. We can launch it from there. And it launches just fine. Now, like i said before, at the beginning of the video, justbecause an application is in this store, doesn't mean it's going to installwell in linux, on your chromebook.
not every application works because thatlinux support is still kind of in beta and not every application is supported. So now let's go and installthe kde plasma discover. Now the way we're going to install thediscover application is very similar to how we installed thegenome software center. We're going to go into our terminal and we are going to do a sudo apt install, plasma dash, discover again, it's going to go out and findall the components that we need. And then we can hit yes to install.
now, you don't have to install both of these. I'm only installing both of them toshow you how it works and you know, to kind of help you make a decisionon which one you want to use. It doesn't hurt to have both installed, but you don't need toinstall both of them. The thing is with plasma,when you first launch it, you may have the same issue that wehad with the genome software center, where the applicationsmay not show in there. But if you do a pseudo appupdate and a one or two restarts, then the application will be populatedwith the apps that are available to install just like with thesoftware center.
all right. So discover is all installed. And just like we did withthe genome software center, we can go into our linux folderand we have discover right there. We can launch it. And here we go, this is what discovery looks like.
it functions similarly to how thejanome software works, but, uh, just looks very different. This issome, you know, featured applications. And then you can go intothe different categories. Now it has much more granularcategories and quantum software did, uh, which i kind of liked that aswell. And you can also do a search.
so say we wanted to installsomething like libra office. It searched for libra, andwe see all the different, um, applications that have to have librain the name or in the description. Uh, so say we want to installlibra office writer. We can just click install on that. And we can see down in the tasks, it shows the status. Now this iswhat i was talking about earlier.
this shows you a much more usefulstatus than the genome software did this actually as a ticking taskbar and shows you how, uh, the installation is progressing versusjust kind of a task bar that jumps to different segments. You know, it might go from 0% to 40% in your ownsoftware where this is kind of a real time ticker. So again, i'lllet this run and then, uh, just show you what thatlooks like as well. Again, this is just going to put itinto our linux apps folder. So now that is all installed.
but one thing i forgot to show you isif you want more details on any of these things, you can click into them andget the information and you know, all the details of the package justas you could in, you know, software. I just forgot to show you that before. And if you go into the installed area, it'll show you all the applicationsthat have been installed, and even the ones that youinstalled with quantum software. So we can see that we have gimp inhere that we installed with that other application. So we can go into hereand we can launch it right from here, or, you know, even easier. Again, it puts it into the linux apps folder, and we can just launch, we wereoffice writer directly from that icon.
and now we get into ourword processor and it works. That's fine. Um, once theseapplications are installed, it doesn't care how theywere installed. So, you know, even though we installed these with twodifferent, um, package managers, the, the core install is exactly the same. So there's no problem with launchingthese applications together.
so you can move these andtreat them just like windows. You can do split screen because it'susing that native linux support now, which you use is totally up to you. Theyboth function kind of the same. I mean, on the backend, they functionexactly the same. It's the front end.
that's a little bit different. My personal preference is discoveredjust because it gives you a little bit better feel back on what's beinginstalled, but they both worked just fine. And again, i want to stress thatjust because an application yeah. Is in here does notmean it's going to work. I need to stress that because ialways get a confusion with that.
with when people watch my videos, they assume that when i show them howto install steam or something like that, all the steam games are gonnarun. That's not the case. This is a portal to these applications, but it's still going to on thesupport of your chromebook. What is Inventory Editor
Basically, Inventory editor is a software or a web-based application that let you customize your character in Terrraria. You can not only change the skin or hair color. It will also give you the option to play with the look of your armor and other items.
Unfortunately, there is not an official inventory editor available. But luckily we have some good options to choose from.
Today we will look at the two ways to customize the Terraria player. First one is software that you can install on your computer. The second option is a web-based(a website) that gives you the ability to save character on your computer.
Before doing any changes make sure you take backup and save it on your computer.

1. Inventory Editor 1.4 Download
To start with inventory software. First, you need to download the ZIP file. Extract the file anywhere on your computer.
Install the Setup .exe file as you install other software. Below screenshots help you to compete with this task. Open the software and you will see a startup screen.
Click on the open player and then find your character which will have the .plr file extension. open .plr file. Make sure to back up your character before proceeding.
Here you have 4 Tabs Stats, Looks, Inventory, Buffs.

The first option is stats. In this option, you will get options like Name, Difficulty, Skin variant, Angler Quests, Tax money, Health, and Mana. You are free to use any of these options as you wish.

The first option is load player where you will load character from your computer which you want to customize. Same .plr file. After that you will get options like Character, Equips, Misc, Inventory, Bank, Safe, Forge, Worlds, and Buffs.
Here you get 133 hairstyles. Other than that you get options like health, Mana, 3 modes: softcore, Medium core, Hardcore.
Furthermore other options like gender, Extra accessory for export mode, cloth style, Hair color, Skin color, eyes, shirt, Pants, and Shoes.
You can see the preview of your player instantly. When you happy with your changes simply click on save the player. This will let you save the modified player to your local computer.
